Even though it has only been a few months since the inception of our organization, we have accomplished a great deal.
From establishing Immigranted as a 501 (c)(3), to raising more than $10,000 in less than a week with more funding on the way, to setting our sights on our first fundraising event and our backpack drive in partnership with the Kids in Need Foundation, we have been busy to say the least.
The countless conference calls, the endless but greatly appreciated e-mail strings and the sincere willingness of board members to tap into their respective networks to create something out of nothing has made this journey a beautiful one so far.
A couple of weeks ago a few members of the Immigranted Board got together for our first official meet and greet. Almost everything we've done prior as been through digital communication.
Monica Anand, one of our board members suggested a company called The Perfect Sip to make our evening an eventful one.
The Perfect Sip brought the beauty of Napa, the elegance of France, and the open green cascading vineyards of Italy directly to us. Armed with a selection of 4 wines that we all got to taste made for a great evening. At the end of the tasting we had the opportunity to buy what we enjoyed.
Guyanne was our wine curator and took us on a tour of some great summer wines and Sonia helped us pair them with an assortment of snacks. In addition to being knowledgeable and great hosts, The Perfect Sip donated 20% of their sales from the wines we purchased to Immigranted.
Check them out for your next event or if you just need a great excuse to have a small group of friends together!
Needless to say, it was a fun evening and a great way to get to know our board members better.
